I’ve recently purchased this 2016 MacBook a week ago, I figured I’d reset it no big deal and I didn’t think the resetting process would be so frustrating and so I was greeted with a recovery partition, I clicked on “reinstall OS X”, tried signing into the App Store to install OS X and it says “this item is temporarily unavailable, try again later”. I want to start off by saying I’m a new MacBook user, never had one before this so running into an issue like this when I just recently purchased it isn’t the best experience so I’m really desperate to get this fixed. Thanks again.Ĭan’t install OS X, keeps saying “this item is temporarily unavailable” after attempting too reset MacBook back to factory settings. I am really frustrated because of this and I hope you can help me. I never had Apple computer before, so my Apple ID was never before entered on Mac or MacBook. I tried even installing OS X Lion from DVD, that didn't work either. I tried internet solutions like correcting date etc. When I signed in Apple ID, it said: This product is temporary unavailable. So, I clicked reinstall OS X and went trought setup. So I tried to power on the laptop without OS. This worked.īut, then I jumped in another problem. I had to remove it trought removing ram, booting up, adding ram back. Then I found that there is firmware password. There was an operating system but I erased hard drive because I wanted to install OS X El Captain. I just bought second hand Apple MacBook A1181.
